Known from Sumatra (Moesi), Borneo (Kapuas), and Banka (Marawang). Most abundant and most common fish in Kapuas basin in Kalimantan Barat, Borneo (Ref. 56749). Recorded from Danau Sentarum National Park in the Kapuas basin, Kalimantan Barat, Borneo (Ref. 56749). Museum: Western Borneo, Kapuas, MZB 3321 - 3343; AMNH 48929; BMNH 1982.3.29.55-64; CAS 49272-73; FMNH 94219; MCZ 58349; MNHN 1982-682; ROM 38618; USNM 230221-23. One of the most common species in western Borneo (Ref. 7050).
