Comments

The precise distribution in Alaskan waters is uncertain but seems to be pretty well confined to the Yukon and its tributary drainages, where it is found from Nulato to the Canadian border (Ref. 27547). Also found in the Tanana River and the Koyukuk River and their tributaries and in Lake Minchumina (Ref. 27547). Locally and seasonally abundant in the summer and fall (Ref. 27547). Spearfishing for sport has resulted in a small fishery in the Chatanika River (Ref. 28852) and at other locations (Ref. 27547). Also Ref. 5723, 11366, 119194.
