Type locality of Leporinus enyae, Amazonas, río Iguapo, ca. 1 hour above the mouth. Known from the southern tributaries of the Orinoco river drainage, including the Ventuari, Parcucito, Atabapo, and Caura rivers; same with Brazil, in the upper Negro River and Casiquiare canal, which connects the Negro and Orinoco rivers (Ref. 119688).
