Comments

Occurs in Sunkoshi and Dudh Koshi rivers and also in upper stretches of Gandaki, Kosi and Karnali rivers (Ref. 6351). Prefers pool/run areas of rhithron stream (Ref. 57735). Colorful fish throughout life history (Ref. 85009). Used as ornamental fish by Buddhists (Ref. 57735). Also Ref. 4832, 12045, 40948, 41236.
