Known from Mediterranean basins of Morocco (Ref. 107622). It seems to be abundant in the rapid streams of the High and Middle Atlas (Ref. 52923), especially in the Moulouya basin (Ref. 94556). It has also been reported from other locations in Morocco (Ref. 4904, 6386, 13329, 94556, 94707, 94708). Also Ref. 1878, 39523, 47440, 50057, 94558, 94707, 94710). Reported in Ref. 55619 which mentions that samples from this country have an uncertain taxonomic identity and groups them tentatively in Salmo spp. Also questionable according to Ref. 3562.
