Known from the upper Kayan River in Kalimantan Timur, Borneo. Identity of juveniles taken from Mahakam should be confirmed by collecting large individuals. Collection from Sumatra refers to Lobocheilos ixocheilos. The gut of this fish is used as raw garnish by Kenyah tribe of Kalimantan Timur (Ref. 75626). Also Ref. 7050, 26580. |
