Type locality, Cauer, Sumatra, Indonesia, RMNH 4523 (holotype Gobius cauerensis) (Ref. 075154). Known from Mentawai ls., Sumatra (Ref. 27157), Flores (Ref. 8631, 47567), Sulawesi, Manado, Bali and Banda Sea (Ref. 41653) . Also recorded from Komodo, Manado and vicinity, Sangalakki Island, Togean and Banggai Islands (Ref. 47567). Also Ref. 2334. Also found in West Pacific, ranging from southern Indonesia to Japan (Ref. 48637). |
