Known from northern India (Ganges-Brahmaputra drainages) to the Mahanadi drainage (Orissa) and Indus drainage (Ref. 45255). Found in Chilka Lake (Ref. 29108) and Maharashtra (Ref. 43634). Present in Buxa, Adma and Jayanti rivers (Ref. 89719) and Fenny river at Sabroom, Tripura (Ref. 97593). Also Ref. 41236.
