Type locality of the holotype of Brienomyrus tavernei: 'Masombwe, riv. Kipepe, afflt de la Tumbwe et s.-afflt gauche de la grande Kafwe, alt. 1120 m' (Ref. 42475). Known from the upper Lualaba and Lufira basins upstream of Lake Upemba in northern Katanga (Ref. 2970, 42475, 45434, 116799, 128501). |
