Found in the Cross (Ref. 51193, 80290, 81279), Sanaga (Ref. 51193, 27691, 80290), Nyong (Ref. 1880, 42019, 80290), Wouri, Ntem (Ref. 42019, 80290), Mungo, Lokoundje and Kienké (Ref. 80290) basins. Also occurs in the Congo River [=Zaire River] (Ref. 5331, 51193), Benue River and Lake Chad (Ref. 51193, 81279).
