Found in the Ganges, Brahmaputra, and Meghna and Sungu River drainages (Ref. 93866). Recorded from Jabuneswari river in Badarganj, Rangpur; Sangu river in Bandarban, Chittagong Hill Tracts; Jagat River in Rangpur; Mahanda river in Tetulia, Panchagar District; and Tangan river in Thankurgaon (Ref. 1479). Also Ref. 4832.
