Most common in coastal drainages of eastern Queensland, and also recorded from the vicinity of Darwin eastward through the Gulf of Carpentaria drainages to the Jardine River (Ref. 5259). Common and widespread in northern Australia (Ref. 32711). Known from Mulgrave river, Wet Tropics, Northern Queensland (Ref. 40054); Burdekin River (Ref. 40171). Also Ref. 96681.
