Comments: Known from the upper Tennessee River drainage in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, northern Georgia and northern Alabama, and adjacent tributaries of Savannah River in North Carolina and South Carolina, Santee River in North Carolina and New River in North Carolina (Ref. 86798). May be introduced in New and Santee River drainages (Ref. 5723, 86798). Also Ref. 10294.
