Comments: Found in the Maeklong, Mekong, Chao Phrya and Southeast Thailand river systems (Ref. 26336). Captured from the wild for the ornamental fish trade (under the name G. taeniata (Ref. 6459). Museum: Mekong river at Chiang Khan, CAS 63046 (Ref. 5515); Phrae, Phitsanulok, Kemarat (Ubon Ratchathani), Trang, Chanthaburi, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Sawan, Yala, Chiang Rai and Surat Thani (Ref. 37773).
