Found in Mekong, Chao Phraya, Maeklong, Peninsular and Southeast Thailand river systems (Ref. 26336); also from Nonthaburi, Chiang Mai, Chanthaburi, Phattalung, Pattani, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Surat Thani, Nakhon Sawan, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chiang Rai, Nakhon Nayok, Kanchanaburi and Phitsanulok (Ref. 37773).
