Comments: Ranges from Knysna and Kosi Bay (Ref. 3977). Enters freshwaters of South Africa as far north as Boteler Point (27°02'S) to Boknes (26°35'E) in the south (Ref. 3879). Angling record: 2.8 kg; spearfishing record: 1.8 kg (Ref. 12484). Flesh considered excellent (Ref. 12484).
