Known from Hanoi (Ref. 120939). Reported in fisheries literature and reports, but its unclear whether this species really occurs or is cultivated in Vietnam (Ref. 44416). Since this is known from Pearl River basin in China, its presence (naturally, not cultivated stocks) might be expected in that basin in Vietnam (Ref. 44416).
