Type locality, Calamianes Group, off southeast tip of Galoc Island, WAM P.31398-014 (holotype of Pseudochromis eichleri, 6.83 cm SL). Known from northern Palawan, Boracay I. off NW tip of Panay I., Calamianes Group, where it is most common in the western coasts of Busuanga, Galoc and Culion); at 15-40 m (Ref. 89094). Also Ref. 90102.
