Found by Herre to be common in Lake Lanao in 1923 (Ref. 280) and known to occur in isolated lakes as Nunuñgan, which is entirely surrounded by mountains, but has a subterranean outlet (Ref. 12748). In Lake Lanao, recorded in 1963-64, 1974-1977and 1982-1983; not recorded in 1990-91 and 2008 surveys (Ref. 95183). Also Ref. 7050, 26129.
