Comments: Type locality, arroyo Clementina, east of Santa Rosa, San Pedro, MNHNP 4621 (holotype of Phallotorynus psittakos, 1.59 cm SL, male). Known from the lower portions of the Rio Paraguay drainage in Departamentos Central, Misiones and San Pedro (Ref. 56059).
