Known from Lake Nicaragua on the Atlantic versant to the Río Parismina and was collected once in Río Tenorio drainage on the Pacfiic slope. Collected from Lake Nicaragua by a net trawled at 10-12 m depth, several kilometers from the shore (Ref. 36880).
