Found in the crater lakes and the Great Lakes. Recorded from Lago de Nicaragua, Rio Creshala and Lake Apoyo. A prevalent species in Lake Apoyo, preying on sardines as well as other fishes (Ref. 46128). Also Ref. 5723, 13677, 46128.
