Comments: Specimens recorded from Northland and Kaikoura and the Chatham Is. Seasonal, it is less abundant in the intertidal during the winter and early spring months. Voucher specimen(s) held at the NMNZ (Ref. 5755). Also Ref. 45493, 45524.
