Comments: Found in the following localities: Veracruz in Rio Blanco, Rio San Juan, Laguna de Catemaco, Rio Sontecomapan, Yucatan Peninsula, Rio Nautla, Rio Atoyac and Rio Playa Vicente; Oaxaca in Rio dos Semillas and Rio del Reyon. Recorded from the Balsas river basin (Ref. 58351). Introduced and established in the Lerma River basin (Ref. 27639). Also Ref. 33390, 42936.
