Comments: Type locality of the holotype of Paretroplus kieneri: 'lac Kinkony, Madagascar' (Ref. 117167). Known from Lake Kinkony (Ref. 78623, 117167), Mahavavy Sud River (Ref. 78623), Betsiboka River (Ref. 78623) and Mahajamba River (Ref. 78623). Also Ref. 5675, 13333.
