Comments: Occurs in the Yoshino and Niyodo Rivers and the Agano River, western Honshu. Also recorded from Lake Biwa (Ref. 78994). Status of threat in the 2005 Red Data Book of Shiga Prefecture : danger increasing (Ref. 79825).
