Occurs in Sumatra (Djambi, Palembang, Mandan R. at Siak) and Borneo (Kapuas, Baram, Lake Tundai (Ref. 42107)). Local fishermen reported that this is very common everywhere in the Kapuas Lakes Area in western Borneo (Ref. 56749). Recorded from Danau Sentarum National Park in the Kapuas basin of Borneo, Kalimantan Barat (Ref. 56749). Museum: Kapuas, CAS 49231(Ref. 2091). Also Ref. 26580, 27732, 36654.
