Reported from Mirs Bay, Tolo Channel, and Tolo Harbour (Ref. 126271). Also reported from Hoi Ha Wan, Sharp Island (Ref. 94637); Tung Ping Chau, Yan Chau Tong, and Cape D'Aguilar (Ref. 129329). Juveniles were recorded from Three Fathoms Cove and Lai Chi Chong (Ref. 125536). The species was observed more than 200 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494).
