Reported from Lobster Bay, Cape D'Aguilar (Ref. 33067). Museum: ANSP 76599; BPBM 18641; NMW 39870. Also reported from Sharp Island, Hoi Ha Wan, Tung Ping Chau (Ref. 94637); and Yan Chau Tong (Ref. 129329). Juveniles were recorded from Three Fathoms Cove and Lai Chi Chong (Ref. 125536). The species was observed on 101 to 200 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494). Sold in live fish markets. Caught via hooks and lines (Ref. 125552).
