Reported from coral areas in Tung Ping Chau, Bluff Island, Sharp Island, and Shelter Island (Ref. 128523). Also reported from the Cape D'Aguilar Marine Reserve (Ref. 129329). The species was observed on 2 to 10 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494). Sold in wet markets (Ref. 129440). Also Ref. 94637.
