Known from Nile River basin (Ref. 58460, 58532), including Lake Tana (Ref. 58532, 96382, 128753); also known from Omo River (Ref. 2940, 31508, 58460, 58532), Lake Abaya (Ref. 58532), Lake Shala (Ref. 58532), Lake Ziway (Ref. 58532) and Awash River (Ref. 58460, 58532).
