Known from the marine lower Congo (Ref. 80507). Report from the Inkisi probably based on a locality error (Ref. 88779): species reported as endemic to the Lower Guinea Ichthyofaunal Province (Ref. 88779), however Ref. 80507 reports on specimens from the marine lower Congo.
