Comments: Known from the lower to upper Congo River (Ref. 78218), but only in lower Congo basin (and Pool Malebo) according to Ref. 3236. Also recorded from the Luilaka River (Ruki drainage) (Ref. 93897). Specimens from Wagenia Falls (Ref. 42480) and the upper Lualaba (Ref. 2970) reidentified as C. cranchii (Ref. 3236). Type locality of the syntypes of Chrysichthys delhezi: "Boma" (Ref. 72505).
