Comments: Known from Xijiang River system from Bama and Baise of Guangxi to Fuyuan, Yiliang and Yuanjiang rivers in Yunnan. Flesh is tender and with good flavour. Caught in caves through electrical, poisonous and bombing methods. Listed as class II protected animal in Yunnan Province (Ref. 45563). Also Ref. 45621, 45679.
