A marine species that ascends the Mekong River (Ref. 168) to the Great Lake (Ref. 12693). Commanded a high price in the Phnom Penh market in 1964 (Ref. 9684). Large individuals seen during dry season in the fast flowing Mekong from Khoné to Kratié. Smaller ones are found from Kratié to Phnom Penh. Found in Tonlé Sap during low waters and in Prek Tasom near Snoc-Trou during floods (Ref. 12693). Known from Rocakong and Quatre Bras (Ref. 36654).
