Comments:
Found only in upper Rio Tiquié basin, a tributary of the Rio Uaupés in the upper Rio Negro basin, Amazonas. Widely distributed in the upper Rio Tiquié, occurring above large waterfalls such as the Cachoeira do Caruru, Cachoeira da Pedra Curta, and Cachoeira Comprida. Reported by Tukano and Tuyuka fishermen to occur all along the upper Rio Tiquié (Ref. 75965).
