Comments: Known from middle rio São Francisco basin, between Irecê, Bahia and Santa Maria da Boa Vista, Pernambuco, NE Brazil (Ref. 49550). Considered cirically endangered due to small area of occupancy associated with the strong decline in quality of the habitat and abrupt reduction in subpopulations (Ref. 89836). Also Ref. 27139, 36579.
