Comments: Known from the middle and southern portions of Amazon River basin, Tocantins River (Ref. 38013). Found in fish markets in Santarém (Ref. 12202). Museum: edge of river, Itaituba, Rio Tapajós, Pará, MZUSP 28648 (holotype of C. inornata, 12.7 cm SL) (Ref. 27925). Also Ref. 34109, 38013.
