Ranges from Paraíba south to Santa Catarina, including Manuel Luiz Reefs, Atol das Rocas, Fernando de Noronha, Zumbi Reefs, Abrolhos Reefs, and Trindade Island (Ref. 57756). Population status: very common (Ref. 84211). Museum: off Santos, MZUSP 78150 (Ref. 47377). Also Ref. 4517, 5222, 26938, 89707 and 33499.
