Comments: Type locality: Victoria (=Kimberleys) (Ref. 48636). Known from Coral Sea Islands Territory (Ref. 75154). Museum: Victoria, ANSP 33126 (holotype of Coris dorsomacula, dried specimen). New South Wales, Jervis Bay, BPBM 18017. Thompson's Bay, BPBM 19591. Queensland, Great Barrier Reef, Capricorn Group, One Tree I., AMS I.15637-001; BPBM 18619, 19590, 19594, 19595. Jennie Louise Shoal (off Cairns), BPBM 13448. Coral Sea: Saumarez Reef, BPBM 15050; Chesterfield Is., BPBM 33688 (Ref. 33411). Recorded from Shark Bay (Ref. 115274). Also Ref. 2334.
