Comments: One of the largest Australian stingrays. Occurs in southern Australia, from from Coffs Harbour, northern New South Wales to Shark Bay (Ref. 115274), Western Australia; including Lord Howe I. (Ref. 8879) and Tasmania. Reported to enter rivers (Ref. 12951). Also Ref. 5578, 26346, 33390, 75154.
