Comments: Type localities: Port Jackson, New South Wales, NHMW 76985 (syntypes of Gobius krefftii) and MMUS F1156 (syntypes of Gobius flavidus); Moreton Bay, Queensland, QM I.9933 (holotype of Gobius watkinsoni). Known only in Australia, from Moreton Bay, QLD (27°16'S) to Narooma, NSW (36°) and Spencer Gulf, SA (136°E) (Ref. 75154)..
