This species was reported from Buenos Aires (Ref. 51923). Also Ref. 9086. Outside distributional range, occurrence needs further confirmation. This species is known so far from Brazil (Ref. 119398). This is tentatively removed from the faunal list of freshwater fishes found in Argentina (Ref. 119439).
