Known from northern India and up to Cauvery river systems (Ref. 4832). Found in Maharashtra (Ref. 43634), Bhavani, Moyar, Tamil Nadu (Ref. 44148), Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh (Ref. 45255). Utilized for stocking ponds. Also Ref. 40976, 41236, 43640.
