Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Galapagos Islands, Isla del Coco, and off Costa Rica. It probably occurs off Mexico. Galapagos Islands subpopulation is classified as vulnerable in the 2004 IUCN red list of threatened species (Ref. 53964).
