Épines dorsales (Total): 6 - 7; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 10; Épines anales 1; Rayons mous anaux: 9. Characterized by generally greyish brown color with irregular greenish-brown bars and narrow pale spaces between; large black spots on side , mid-lateral row; head with pink spots; head and body with blue dots; united pelvic fins, presence of frenum; longitudinal scale series 56-65; head without scales; greatest depth of body 4.3 in SL; rounded caudal fin, about equal to head length (Ref. 90102).
