Ammocoetes: max. size 13 cm TL; body proportions, as percentage of TL (based on 300 specimens measuring 2.5-12.5 cm TL): 5.4-6.6 prebranchial length, 11.1-12.3 branchial length, 54.9-55.9 trunk length and 24.8-27.1 tail length; trunk myomeres, 53-68; body coloration light gray; caudal fin shape, spade-like. Metamorphosing ammocoetes: 8-11 cm TL (Ref. 89241), ammocoete stage lasts 2-4 years in freshwater (Ref. 59043).
