A pointed snout and a slightly more elongated body form than @L. pusillus@. A melanophore on the upperside of the head. At 4.2mm: 31 myomeres; 25 postanal. At 5mm: 38 myomeres. At 12mm: D 12; A 16; P 8. Another striking feature is the presence of a `spiracle valve' in the gut. Larvae become juveniles between 19 and 22 mm body length (Ref. 5571). |
