| Large head with long snout and large mouth; deep body; single large peritoneal pigment patch; up to 2 blotches each on dorsal and ventral margins; 1 blotch laterally on caudal peduncle, 2 on caudal fin. Pigmentation: Preflexion: none to few distally on inner surface of pectoral fin base and scattered on pectoral blade; large peritoneal patch above anterior half to 60% of gut. Flexion: on ventral margin between myomeres 34-38 by 9.5 mm; on dorsal margin between myomeres 34-38 by 12 mm and between myomeres 22-24 by 12.7 mm; 1 midlaterally at myomere 45-47 by 12.1 mm. Postflexion: near bases of 1 or 2 lower middle caudal fin rays by 14.7 mm; near bases of 1 or 2 upper middle caudal fin rays by 14.8 mm; at bases of anal fin rays 2 and 3 by 22.8 mm. Transformation: over and on mid- and hindbrain; at nape; dorsolaterally at about myomeres 16-38; on dorsal margin at about myomere 38-50; internally on first 7 anal pterygiophores between 31-32 mm; peritoneal patch spreads posteriorly and ventrally. Sequence of fin development: pectorals, caudal, dorsal and anal, pelvics. | ||||
