Diagnostic characters: lateral pigment on postanal body appears to be distinctive perhaps at generic level, but whether it appears in other macrourine larvae cannot be determined at this time. Pigment: frontal patch; first dorsal fin patch; heavy over entire gut; ventral midline series and double lateral spots approximately first half of postanal body.
